02 Common questions

Installing an app

Download the .dmg from the app's page, open it, and drag the app into your Applications folder. The apps are notarized by Apple, so they open without an "unidentified developer" warning.

Getting updates

Most apps check for their own updates and offer to install them. You can also re-download the latest build from the app's page at any time.

System requirements

Each app's page lists the macOS version it needs near the top — have a quick look there before downloading.

Privacy

No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. The apps do their work on your Mac, and this site doesn't follow you around. The Imprint has the legal details.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Every app here is free — no ads, no paywalls. If one saved you time, a tip is always welcome but never expected.

Uninstalling

Quit the app and drag it from Applications to the Trash. No background services, no login items left behind.
